Nursery Design reveal

Happy Wednesday! I cant believe how overcast and merky Sydney is today, after we've had an incredibly hot few days; however i thought today would be the perfect to reveal the E-decorating Nursery design for a Beautiful Client, who i blogged about in an early post.
This was an extremely fun E-decorating project, and the brief was quite a creative one to fullfill.
The Nursery was designed for a Baby girl, with a playful, romantic and feminine style in mind. I wanted to introduce a subtle drama in the colour scheme, through the use of contrasting fabric & wall colours. The elements of playfullness are evident in the use of horizontal striped wallpaper in shades of lilac, the martha Stewart pompoms as a mobile display, and the 'Snow white' style mirror.

For all of you who arent aware of E-Decorating -

'E-decorating is an affordable online interior decorating and consultation service that gives you the opportunity to use the extensive knowledge and skills of an experienced interior designer, without the common restrictions of location and budget. E-decorating offers a more timely and cost-effective service and provides DIY clients with valuable insights, ideas and industry tips on how to achieve their dream interior. This service best suits people on a budget, or those who want to create the space themselves, but could just use a little bit of guidance from an expert.

E-decorating also offers the opportunity to tap into industry insights like tips and tricks on where to buy furniture and decorator pieces (including those usually only available to the trade) and advice on how to style them. E-decorating is tailored to each client’s brief, and will not only inspire you, but save you time and money and result in a better final product at a lower than expected cost (from $220 per room).'

Happy New year to you all!! I hope the first day into 2013 has been fantastic & you are, thus far, upholding your all important new years resolutions.

I cant think of a better way to bring in the new year then to share with you my current E-decorating design project, of which i am very excited to be working on and with such lovely Client's. The E-decorating brief is a Nursery design for a gorgeous couple expecting their first born in the coming months. E-decorating for a nursery is such a fantastic way to demonstrate the many styles you can take the room, whether it be gender specific, themed or reinventing using what you already own; all  without the hassal of you tirelessly searching for ideas to create a unique scheme, and then having to find the stores that sell what you envisaged using.
E-decorating provides the Client with a design layout and shopping list of where to find all the suggested items; however, leaves the fun part of bringing the room together, and of course the shopping, in the Client's hands.

In my Nursery research, i stumbled across one very Beautiful nautical inspired Celebrity Nursery designed by Lonni Paul Designs, in the picturesque suburb of Brentwood, CA. The celebrity couple, E! News personality Giuliana & Bill Rancic.

Isn't it beautiful. It wouldn't be hard to spend many hours in this room with your new baby, or even the entire Family.

So, i thought i would share with you an E-decorating board I created to demonstrate how you can recreate this stunning Nursery design, through resources that are available here in Australia, and of course on a more reasonable budget.

I look fwd to sharing with you the completed E-decorating Nursery design in the coming weeks.

If you would like any information on where to purchase any of the E-decorating items, don't hesitate to contact me at www.ericafanninginteriorstyling.com
